It’s official Rally Jamaica has made it onto the world stage in a big way. The event has been registered on the FIA International Motorsports events calendar. The event is slated as the final round of the NACAM Regional Rally Championship for the second year in a row. The event was host for the final leg of the NRC series for the first time in 2013 with rave reviews from the NRC team for the event.
So impressed was the NRC team they immediately went into negotiations with the rally organisers Rallysports Promotions Limited (RPL) and brokered a deal for the event to host the final round of the NRC leg for 2014 and 2015 as a start.
The NACAM Regional Rally Championship consists of 6 rallies across North and Central America with legs being held in Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica to name a few. The 2014 NACAM Rally Championship is the seventh season of the NACAM Rally Championship. This Championship is the FIA regional rally championship for the North America and Central America (NACAM) region. The season began 28 March in Oaxaca, Mexico, and is scheduled to end 23 November in Jamaica, after seven events.
